Teacher Recognitions

Miss Emily Garza is a 2-year newcomer joining us after studying to become an art teacher at TAMIU. As every art teacher, she enjoys drawing and painting. When she isn't doing either of her passions, she satisfies her creativity through reading. When asked for an inspiring quote, she quoted famous artist, who gave us "Woman in a Purple Coat", Henri Matisse. His words are as follows, "Creativity takes courage". No fewer words would be expected from an artist. Miss Garza, welcome to ZMS and we hope you continue to feed our children's creativity through art.
Mrs. Gina Gonzales followed her mother's footsteps in going into the field of education and has been teaching Social Studies since 2008, landing her between a nocive and a veteran at 13 years. Gonzales has taught for the past 2-consecutive years working with 8th-grade students. Her alma mater took her to San Antonio where she studied at UTSA before she continued her endeavor of being a teacher. When she isn't working with students, you will find her with a book in her hands. She believes in the African proverb that states: Knowledge is like a garden; if it is not cultivated, it cannot be harvested...We are fortunate to have you onboard at ZMS to cultivate our students' young minds.
